| Joel finished Acrylic Painting No. 1 in one painting session lasting about twenty minutes. He used the same medium sized brush over and over to dip into several styrofoam bowls of acrylic paint, mixing colors in the bowls rather than cleaning his brush. |

| Joel took his time with each color making short deliberate strokes repeatedly. He started with blue, then added brown, magenta, orange and lots of white acrylic paint. He broadened his strokes near the end of his session making wider sweeping motions as he blended the white acrylic paint throughout the canvas. |

| Joel thoroughly enjoyed his painting session smiling most of the time he painted. |
