He is a sociable individual open to new experiences and making new friends. Joel likes swimming, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoys pounding on the bongo drums in the classroom.

Linda can be a good listener and uses expressive language when she wants to. Although she has difficulty hearing she will participate in activities when verbally prompted. Linda likes animals and shredding paper while at NVSS.

She has a sweet and agreeable personality and is very well liked. Jamie enjoys socializing with her family and friends, and making money.

She is an excellent worker and well organized. Susie enjoys living at home with her mother, and working on art projects.

He follows directions well, and if distracted will stay focused on a task with guidance. George enjoys the outdoors very much. He likes picnics, visiting the park, taking walks, and playing with the dogs at home.

Adriana is always very polite and helpful to other clients at NVSS. She enjoys her arts and crafts class, watching cartoons on television, and going for walks in the park. Adriana also enjoys spending time with her family, especially playing and coloring with her nephew.

Joan is a very sociable individual who likes to help others. She follows routines to complete her tasks successfully. Joan enjoys earning money, and bowling on Saturdays.

He is non-verbal and needs physical prompting to complete all his job tasks, but always shows up for all of his NVSS activities. Phillip enjoys watching cartoons on television, listening to music, drinking orange juice, and going for walks around his back yard.

Carol is a talented musician who enjoys playing her keyboard and singing with her fellow classmates at NVSS. Creative and well spoken, she uses a folding cane to help find her way about. She also enjoys listening to music, making jewelry, attending special events, and going to the park.

He gets around by using a joystick to operate his electric wheel chair. Don has a good sense of humor and has been known to be a jokester. He enjoys watching sporting events on television with his pets at home.

Jose has a great sense of humor and is a good worker willing to help others. He enjoys dining out in restaurants, going to garage sales, and watching cowboy movies on cable TV. Jose especially likes to visit his mother in Lodi, California.

He has a friendly disposition and enjoys socializing and playing Skip-o with his peers. Ian likes to exercise regularly. He also enjoys the Special Olympics, and listening to Giant’s baseball games on his radio.

David enjoys participating in activities with his housemates such as walking in the community and watching television.

He gets along well with others, has a great sense of humor, and uses a wheel chair to get around. Greg enjoys his NVSS computer class and earning money by shredding paper.

Beth is a non verbal individual who expresses her pleasant nature by often laughing without provocation. She needs prompting to stay on task when working, but completes her tasks. Beth enjoys attending her NVSS art class and basic education class, and listening to music.

She has good communication skills, is a very good worker and likes to be kept busy. Henny enjoys classroom activities at NVSS, earning a paycheck, and above all, a close relationship with her sister.

Joe works well with prompting and will follow directions. He gets along with his peers and loves going to Oakland A’s baseball games with his dad and NVSS. Joe enjoys his computer class at NVSS and drinking coffee.

Adam is non-verbal and gets about with an electric wheel chair. He has an engaging personality, a great smile, and an active social life. Adam enjoys listening to music and going to the movies.

Ted is a very friendly man who enjoys spending time with his peers feeding the ducks at Kennedy Park and playing basketball at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club. Ted enjoys shredding paper, gardening, having his own bedroom, and drinking soda.

She won’t venture from the classroom into the community, but does appreciate NVSS school activities, especially working with beads in art class. Wendy also enjoys spending time in her room at home, listening to the radio, and watching television.

Jonathan is non-verbal and gets about with an electric wheel chair. Jonathan likes watching videos, listening to music, and going for rides in the van. He especially enjoys eating out with his family.

Paul is a very friendly and personable individual who follows instructions best when he has a chance to think about them before having to act. Paul enjoys watching baseball on television and listening to music on his walkman.
