| Billy finished Cherry Mocha in two painting sessions. During the forty minute first session, Billy prepared a mixture of coffee beans, uncooked coffee grounds, Elmer’s Glue-All, and red tempera paint. His collaborator helped him scoop the mixture onto the canvas. |

| Billy then used a wooden fork like tool and medium sized brush to spread the mix over most of the canvas. At the second forty minute session Billy prepared the same coffee mix but also added chocolate syrup. His collaborator poured the mixture into a plastic squeeze bottle and Billy used it to cover the empty areas of the canvas, blending the mix with a paint brush. |

| Some white tempera paint was added to the mix creating a pink color which was squeezed onto other areas by his collaborator and Billy blended them into the painting. Billy thoroughly enjoyed creating his coffee painting and could often be heard to say, “cool.” |
