MOCHA BLUE - by Emily C.
Mocha BLUE was completed by Emily in eight sessions. At the first session cooked and uncooked coffee grounds, blue tempera paint, and Elmer’s Glue-All were combined and poured onto the canvas. Emily spread the mixture using a wooden spoon and the help of her collaborator.

At the sixth session a mixture of coffee grounds, blue tempera paint, and Elmer’s Glue-All was squeezed from a plastic bottle by Emily around the edges of the canvas. At the next to last session, dark blue tempera paint mixed with sugar and coffee beans was spooned on the canvas and spread by Emily with a wooden fork like tool.
