| Using mostly a dripping paint platform, Scott finished Drip Painting Number 3 in three sessions. |

| He covered the surfaces of four twelve inch square canvases with blue, green, yellow and red backgrounds with a sponge brush. The canvases were then arranged in a square formation on the table top of a paint dripping platform for two paint dripping sessions. |

| Scott had a button switch attached to his wheel chair which was connected to a rotating turntable and cassette player. As paint dripped from above, each time he activated the switch music played for sixty seconds and the table top rotated for a complete revolution and then stopped. |

| At both drip painting sessions shades of blue, green, yellow, or red tempera and sugar paint mixtures dripped onto the canvases below. The color choices, the pace of the falling drops, and the locations of the paint bottles were determined by Scott’s collaborator. |
