Doug finished Bacobs in two sessions lasting about a total of thirty minutes. At his first session Doug used three colors of tempera paint mixed with sugar: blue, red, and white.

Using a one inch brush he covered most of the canvas board with blue sugar paint blending in some red and then white finally creating a brownish tone covering the canvas board.

At the next session Doug painted from plastic bowls containing acrylic paint using a much smaller brush blending broad strokes of yellow, white, green, and red. Doug enjoyed his painting sessions stopping only to smile at the camera when photos were taken of his progress.
