SWEET FEAT - by Shawn C. and Derek F.
Shawn’s contribution to the cooperative art piece Sweet Feat was completed in one session lasting almost two hours. A mixture of instant pudding, whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, water and tempera paint was prepared by Shawn’s collaborator. Four shades of green and one of orange were spooned onto the canvas from time to time during the session in random order.

Each time a paint mixture was added, Shawn’s collaborator would raise the canvas from the floor allowing Shawn to place his bare feet onto the gooey surface. Shawn would often grin as his feet spread the paint mixtures on the shifting canvas below.

Derek’s contribution to the cooperative art piece Sweet Feat was completed in a two hour paint dripping session. Derek operated a button switch attached to his tray that was connected to a rotating turntable and cassette player. Each time he activated the switch music played for sixty seconds and the table top rotated for a complete revolution and then stopped.

Three bottles of green tempera paint mixed with sugar, and one each of violet and orange, dripped onto the canvas below started by Shawn. To encourage Derek to hit his switch more often, he was given back and head massages by his collaborator.
