| Lisa completed Brighter Horizon in one forty minute session. Lisa’s collaborator first prepared a sugar and temper paint mixture (dark brown/purple) and covered the entire canvas, including the edges. A day later Lisa painted on the still tacky surface. |

| She used a brush to dip into three colors of acrylic paint squeezed onto paper pie plates (yellow, brown, and white) and then stroked small amounts onto the painting. Lisa began with the yellow acrylic paint placing many small strokes over half of the canvas, one stroke at a time. |

| Using the same brush she dipped into the white acrylic paint and covered other areas of the tacky canvas. She added a small amount of brown to one area then finished with a few white strokes. |
