| Greg finished Christmas in one thirty minute session. Using tempera paints mixed with raw sugar cane crystals from his previous painting Black, Greg stroked six colors onto his canvas using a medium sized brush. |

| His collaborator re-positioned the canvas as needed to reach all areas of the painting. Greg started by adding blue sugar paint and then switched to yellow sugar paint, blending both colors into a patch of green. He then painted with dark magenta, blending strokes into the green area. |

| Next he added dark blue sugar paint to an area adjacent to the green patch and then dipped into the white sugar paint blending it with the blue creating a patch of light blue. Finally he stroked the magenta sugar mix into the last empty area of the canvas. |
