GALLERY OF 16 SUGAR PAINTINGS

Adriana finished Rainbow in one painting session lasting about twenty minutes. She mixed black tempera paint with sugar and covered the canvas with large brush strokes creating a background.
The canvas was then placed on a rotating turntable. Adriana squeezed an assortment of small plastic paint bottles to drip various colors of sugar paint onto the spinning canvas below, often with a squiggly motion.
She started by pouring some pink sugar paint in the middle of the wet canvas, then added two shades of orange, two shades of green, some blue, more pink, more green, some white, some red, more blue and ended adding more red sugar paint. Adriana enjoyed her painting session.
