| UNTITLED I - by Don Miller |

| Don finished Untitled I in one painting session lasting about thirty minutes. Don’s collaborator helped him prepare four colors of tempera paint mixed with sugar: yellow, red, black, and white. |

| During his painting session she also cleaned the two brushes he used, held containers of paint closer to him for easier dipping, and helped him to re-position his canvas. Don alternately used a rounded one inch brush, or a flat one inch brush, to spread and blend the sugar paint on his canvas with wide meandering strokes. |

| He started by dipping his round brush into the black sugar paint mix, spreading it on the canvas with broad sweeping strokes. He then blended yellow, red, more yellow, white, red, and finally more yellow sugar paint into his painting. Don enjoyed his painting session and was pleased with the outcome. |
